CBIP organizes National and International Workshops, Symposia, Seminars, Conferences, Tutorials and Training Courses, etc. The Recommendations brought-out after interaction in the Seminars/ Conferences are compiled and circulated for implementation for the benefit of all concerned. Presentations made by the eminent authors and technical experts are compiled in the form of €œproceeding€� to be used as reference material. Publication:
CBIP brings-out various publications on Technical Literature in the form of manuals, guidelines, specifications and Journals which have wide circulation not only within the country but also in several countries through out the world. Till date, it has published about 850 technical publications and some of these are being used as text/ reference books in technical institutions and design offices. |
Periodicals:
The Board brings out and circulates to the board members, the following quarterly periodicals regularly for enhancing knowledge of the professionals.

Special Issues of Journals:
CBIP publishes special issue of Journals highlighting the experiences of the experts from concepts to commissioning on the problems encountered and innovative measures taken on the various projects executed in the country. It has already published the special issues on Tehri Dam Project; India Sagar Project; Bhakra €“ Nangal Project; Chamera-II H.E. Project; Omkereswar Power Project; Naptha Jhakri Power Project.
CBIP now plans to publish Special Issues on 1020 MW Tala Hydro Elrctric Project (Bhutan); 1450 MW Sardar Sarover Project |
Training:
The Board also organizes number of national and international Workshops/ Tutorials/ Training Programmers to help the Indian engineers to up-date their knowledge and gain practical know-how in the adoption of the latest techniques.
CBIP in now planning to establish a training institute on two plots already allotted by HUDA at Gurgaon for conducting training programmers on regular basis with residential facilities |

Consultancy:
CBIP has a team of Senior Experts with vast experience of more than 30 years in various fields of water resources and Power. In addition CBIP has a large number of Panels of Experts in these fields. The Board has now entered in the field of consultancy in a big way. It has already provided consultancy services to Tata, KPCL, WPC Australia, APSEB, TNEB, IREDA, etc. |
Library:
Board maintains, expand and operate a Library in CBIP having about 10,000 documents related to Water Resources, Power and allied subject.
